FRESH PAIR NIKES | REGGIE LEWIS TRACK | ASHUR Restaurant


Coach Ahmed reward me with these new joints, I appreciate that my hard work is being noticed. Success is trying, Failures isn't trying at all. After my work Coach planted the seed in my head,"Hatim consider running in the Master's divison"... hmmm we shall get to that in future post the game has changed. Regardless thou it feels real good entering this place below, and starting to get my rhythm back soon come "Beast Mode" but patience is a virute 



After practice got my prayers in.. It's imperative can't forget the Lord. The goal is mind,body & Soul. Since I was in the neigborhood I decided to work my brothers from Mogadishu at Ashur Restaurant  can't go wrong with some salad, some goat meat plus some traditional Somalia Rice

#NodaysOff No cliche but as far as training Coach Ahmed told me to chill and relax, so in route to the Healey Libray to prepare for an upcoming exam, I couldn't help that the Greatest Entertainer from my generation was melodically guiding me on the beach front through my headphones as these words resonate and bounce of the bass from my eardrums "When the world is on your shoulder Gotta straighten up your act and boogie down" - THE GOAT - Michael Jackson
Despite the Winds since I was by the beachfront, I decided to take a #Selfie, which is very rare but I wanted to share via IG:iammrjump 




After the Library on the ride home, stopped as subway and got a 6inch for $3 dollars what a deal. Since the new season of the Boondocks had started I had to get caught up. Ironically in the World of Sports New NBA Commissioner Adam Silverman announced a lifetime ban on Clippers owner Donald Sterling for life. SMDH the sad part about this he is a billionaire no matter the sanctions or fine he is still going to make $ if he is forced to sell the team, enough of my tirade. My answer to the Uncle Rukus and Donald Sterling off the world is to be successful is the biggest form of vengeance

DAY 7 - IMAGINE

Just finished my workout at the Reggie Lewis. After work I went to City Sports downtown Boston and purchased some new running sneakers a new gym bag and shirt to run in.
When I got to the Reggie Lewis I had to due a my warm 800 metes indoor 4 laps. Started off with some stretching, did some drills working on form then light upper body workout to shock the muscles. After that I ran a mile.
 
Pre WORKOUT - soundtrack of the day: ALL EYEZ ON ME from the one of the greatest writers in hiphop history. I sure got my mind made up, came home to a bomb dinner, Salmon with Asparagus, mixed vegatables with quinoa. Also I am reaching my goal with my walkmate and app via Samsung

Day 6 #Downtime Bones Jones on another Masterpiece

Watched the a greatest Fighter Pound for Pound defend his title. Salute to Bones Jones another masterpiece in the octagon #DreamsAreTangibleGoals. As athletes we can admire and appreciate greatness, the resiliency and dedication it takes to become elite. My brother Singapore Kane has been a MMA Fan for years but the last year I decided to watch the Sport that surpassed WWE. The guys that I followed and admire when I was younger where the Hulk Hogans, Macho Man Randy Savage's of the World, Rest In Peace Ultimate Warrior.. But no disrespect the dude NOW is BONE JONES

DAY 5 Boondocks Season 4 Trailer | MUNCHIES


Saturday Morning Cartoons was the pinnacle of my youth highlight of my adolescent. Today on my day off I wanted to get into my season with OKC in NBA2k14 but XBOX live had a post that the homies are back Riley, Huey & Uncle Freeman have a new season of the BOONDOCKS ....

Day 4 - REST T.G.I.F


This morning No running TGIF but I did start this process of Morning Yoga Routine. SMDH I am so tight looking forward to loosening up. The goal is to be centered and flexible 





Wow this journey and experience has been truly amazing and wonderful I am getting support from different areas. First & foremost salute to the my brethren Said Ahmed one of the best runner to ever come out the city of Boston. Below are just a glimpse of his achievements. Regardless he motivated me to continue what I started and he is actually going to run with me. The next 10 days I am going to continue to the routine of walking the 1st 800 Meters and jogging the next 800 Meters. I was advised that mentally I am there now I must break down the body and continue to enhance the muscle memory and get the body accustomed to this grind. My 1st race will be in June. I will be starting my training on Monday April 28th 6-8pm at the Madison Park Track.

Since I worked out 3 days in a row and yesterday I did some weight training, I was advised to take the day off and let the body rest and heal, as well as utilize either Saturday or Sunday to participate in other activity most likely Basketball. 

In my personal life my I couldn't be more happier my lady is 100% in supportive. Truly Blessed to have her in my life. Last night she sent me this video below. The word of the week is Light, this became the topic of conversation because I feel empowered everyday that the decision I made was the right decision. Sticking to the topic of light I went to Healey Library at Umass Boston yesterday and I bumped into another bro/ahki I haven't seen and years, roughly 10 years during my undergrad, he ended up finishing and moving to Philadelphia and worked as a pharmacist due to his mother getting sick he moved back, we went to the cafeteria and spoke and he told me that when I stop following God's Light your immersed in darkness your thoughts your actions well reflect that.. So ironically my lady sent me this video...

Day 3 - Weather 43 Degrees - 5:43 am


Thank you creator for a new day new opportunities, this morning was fulfilling, due to the wind I decided to take my talents to Planet Fitness. I started off with 15 mins of stretching. After getting a little loose I went on the treadmill the fulfillment came when I finished a mile non-stop. At the half mile mark I wanted to stop and walk, the last 800 meters especially the last two days I would walk the 1st half mile and jog the other half mile. Today was different felt the strength at the half mile mark to continue which I did. Far as I am concern this is progress and it's motivation to continue.The Soundtrack for the morning was from the boys from 215, World Famous Legendary Roots Crew. Regardless I have a long way to go, In the meanwhile  I feel stronger everyday, I came into work and my boss mentioned she noticed the difference, I have lost 7 lbs since last week I am currently 193 lbs. The next phase in reaching my goals is my diet. I never said no to Steak N Cheese, with cooked onions, peppers, mushrooms and ketchup and mayo toast the bread SMDH. My lady says I use food as a drug, she maybe right, lmaooo.. OKAY SHE IS RIGHT Recently I have been drinking more water, haven't been eating fast food. My cheat day last friday was sushi, I feel like I am making leaps I would have gotten my usual Schezuan Chicken with Shrimp Fried Rice, 3 appetizers (Crab Ragoon, Chicken Wings, Beef Teryiaki) - side note just want to salute my new joint Yummy Teriyaki <----- Don't sleep on this spot if you are in North Boston area

Day 2 - 6:17 AM



Peace

 Slept a lil on unesasy had a crank in my neck. I got up at 3:30 am, went back to bed got back up at 5:54 am. I did a light stretch and walked to the park next to my home, this is the place where I found solitude where i was introduced to Tranquility again. I couldn't help to notice that I saw this hanging from the telephone wires. I couldn't help to think this image reminded me of the 80's, this time around It was a mental note NOT TO HANG IT UP



 Couldn't help that the Creator was shining on me, the scene was set and it was beautiful, more motivation for me to continue this journey. The Soundtrack for this morning was Nipsey Hu$$le Bullets Ain't Got No Names Vol 3, rocking to personal favorites

Day 1 D.R.T.G

Peace Be Upon You

This morning was powerful, powerful in the sense that I discovered something.
I found it praise God I found it.  I haven't had this feeling in years, the motivation to run, to be one with your mind, body & soul.  A Wiseman once said if you can conceive it you can achieve it. I decided today I am going to train for the Boston Marathon.

I haven't ran in years never mind out of shape & overweight never mind my other bad habits lol. I usually set my alarm for 5 am but today was special. I rolled out of bed not expecting what God had written out for me.

Early Bird Gets the Worm 5:32 this morning I decided today was going to be the day I start training. Motivated by Mike Moves leading by example he completed the Boston Marathon this year,  this picture is priceless.

With lack of Vitamin D and being out of shape I said I am going to break a mile in to two parts, walk the 1st 800 meters then Jog the last 800 meters. 1st lap cool, asking myself how do I feel, enthusiastic,  open minded, 2nd lap I had started to develop a rhythm walking by the 3rd lap when I started to jog I was thinking to myself you know what I am going to start blogging again but this time the story shall be mine

Dreams are a tangible goals. Slowly but surely I am going to document the trials of tribulation of man who can barely run a mile who in a year from now run and complete the BOSTON Marathon 2015.  Ending this night with some detox tea.
